
With Version 3.5.1, we continue our focus on stability, clarity, and reliability across all Crqlar modules. This update brings important improvements for hotels using OHIP group reservations, the weekly planner, and special characters in guest data — along with enhancements to availability handling and auto-assign logic.
These refinements are based on direct feedback from our partner hotels and further strengthen Crqlar as a daily operational tool for restaurant, spa, and activity management.

Correct Display of Special Characters (Umlaute)
With this release, Crqlar automatically cleans and corrects special characters such as ä, ö, ü, ß in order to ensure accurate guest data across all modules — especially important for profiles synced across chains or multiple properties.
📦 Packages Wizard – Smoother and Faster
Improvement of the wizard dialog UI and underlying logic to ensure smooth and consistent package creation and service assignment.
🏨 OHIP: Cancelled Reservations Displayed Correctly
A key improvement for hotels connected via Oracle OHIP:
- Cancelled reservations are now reliably marked as cancelled in Crqlar
- They no longer appear as active stays
- Group cancellations follow correct logic
- The system prevents outdated or incorrect guest data from being used for restaurant or spa planning
This ensures more reliable staff planning and avoids confusion in restaurant and spa operations.
📅 Active Stays – More Predictable Calendar Behavior
The picker remains exactly where the user navigates, ensuring fast, frustration-free date selection.
🟢 Correct Start Day for Stays
In some cases, the green indicator and breakfast logic displayed a stay one day too early.
This has been resolved, ensuring:
- accurate start day display
- correct breakfast periods
- consistent behavior across all connected modules
🖨 Weekly Planner Printouts — Cleaner, Larger, More Accurate
The weekly planner printouts have been significantly improved:
- no more blank first pages
- only active events for the selected week are included
- images print larger and in color (when provided)
- printing always starts with Monday
- print icon now remains visible when switching agendas
This ensures a professional, guest-ready weekly overview — exactly as hotels expect.
🖨 Guest Weekly Plan — No More Empty Printouts
The print button is automatically hidden if no activities exist for the selected week.
👩💼 Staff Availability — Correctly Highlighted Again
Staff availability indicators now reliably show in blue on the calendar for the selected day.
"Working Today" aligns correctly with real working hours.
📆 Weekly Planner Improvements
Several quality-of-life improvements make daily operations smoother:
- Services can now be directly assigned to the correct agenda
- A link to the service’s availability has been added
- Clicking “Availability” in a booking dialog jumps directly to the correct date
- Improved consistency when working with recurring events
🏨 OHIP Group Reservations – Now Stored as Real Groups
OHIP group reservations are now handled the same way as group reservations from all other PMS integrations:
- grouped together
- displayed as a single entity
- easier to manage in restaurant and spa
This avoids confusion and reduces the number of manual corrections.
↔️ Drag & Drop in Restaurant — Cleaner & Less Noisy
Unnecessary warnings in the restaurant module were removed for a more fluid workflow.
⚙️ Weekly Planner Backend Refactor — More Reliable Events
A significant improvement under the hood:
- Availability calculations have been moved from the frontend to the API
- Reduces complexity and error risks
- Faster loading
- More precise recurring event calculation
- Better handling of exceptions and multi-day activities
This prepares Crqlar for upcoming feature expansions and ensures much higher reliability for hotels that heavily use activity planning.
