Crqlar Version 3.4.9 — More Reliable Weekly Program, Smarter Reservation Tools & Cleaner Workflows

With Version 3.4.9, we continue our mission to make daily hotel operations smoother, faster, and more predictable for your teams.
This release focuses on stability improvements, workflow optimizations, and several important UI/UX refinements across Weekly Program, Active Stays, Serial Reservations, and Floorplan.

Let’s dive into what’s new 👇

🧘 Weekly Program: More Reliable Guest Interactions

The Weekly Program continues to evolve into one of the most-used modules in Crqlar. With this update, we are focusing on strengthening the core workflows your staff uses every day.

🔗 Guest Profile Opening Works Again

When clicking “Open Profile” inside a Weekly Program event, the system now correctly opens the full guest profile.
This makes it easy for your team to quickly check key details—stay info, preferences, notes—without switching apps.

➕ Add Guests to Events Without Restrictions

You can now again add guest profiles to an existing Weekly Program event through the calendar.
This issue was caused by a block on event-side updates, and is now fully resolved.

These two fixes ensure a smoother and more reliable guest event management experience overall.

🍽 Floorplan: Stability Improvements for Restaurants

Many hotels rely on the Floorplan for precise table management—so even small inconsistencies matter.
This update fixes an issue where floorplan elements were resetting whenever the “Bookable through widget” switch on a restaurant resource was changed.

Your setup now remains exactly as you designed it.
No more rebuilding table layouts or zones.

📱 App Authentication: Ready for PWAs & Future Push Notifications

With the growth of hotel PWAs and guest apps, we have fully migrated authentication to V3.

What this means for hotels:

  • No more duplicated guest profiles when guests create profiles before their PMS reservation is sent
  • One unified authentication flow across all Crqlar-powered apps
  • Device tokens are now stored, enabling future push-notification features

This is a foundational update that enables hotels to use Crqlar-powered PWAs with ease.

🥐 Active Stays: Half-Board Reservations Become Smarter

In V2, half-board logic had an intuitive popup that made meal handling easy.
We have now brought this to V3—fully redesigned and smarter.

When adding half-board reservations, staff can now choose:

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Breakfast + Dinner

Crqlar automatically:

  • Prefills the correct start time
  • Selects the correct start date
  • Avoids check-in afternoon and check-out morning errors
  • Ensures reservations appear visually within the valid stay period

Each reservation also receives a colored chip (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) for instant clarity in the list.

This saves your team countless clicks—especially in hotels with many board guests.

🔁 Serial (Multiday) Reservations: The Popular Popup Is Back

This is one of the most beloved features from V2—and now it’s back in V3.

Whenever you change a reservation that is part of a multiday/serial sequence, Crqlar now asks:

  1. Update this reservation only
  2. Update all linked reservations
  3. Update this and all subsequent reservations

This popup now appears:

  • In the reservation popup
  • When dragging/moving a reservation in the calendar
  • When moving tables in the floorplan

This makes serial reservation handling significantly faster and more consistent.

👶 Age Categories: Improved Visibility for Hotels With Many Groups

Some hotels use up to 5 age categories.
The reservation popup now supports up to 3 cleanly, using automatic line breaks to maintain readability.

Clearer UI = fewer mistakes = faster input.

🪑 Reservation Logic: More Accurate Assignment

We improved the internal handling of the Unassigned row, making assignment more predictable and avoiding accidental assignments caused by legacy logic.

❌ Active Stays: “Cancelled” Is Now a Proper Chip

To increase clarity for front-office staff, “Cancelled” reservations are now displayed as a red chip with white X icon, replacing the previous text-only version.

This makes the status:

  • More visible
  • Consistent
  • Quickly scannable in busy check-in/check-out periods

Closing Thoughts

Version 3.4.9 continues laying the groundwork for a more consistent and powerful Crqlar platform.
Many of the improvements in this release come directly from feedback provided by hotel teams—and we are grateful for every message, ticket, and call.

If you have any questions or want to suggest improvements, our team is always happy to help.
